Each leads a family. Each has a Vendetta target known only to them.
How a Round Plays
Open negotiation
Families negotiate territory openly. Verbal deals are non-binding.
Secret deployment
Each family secretly assigns Soldiers to Territories.
Reveal & combat
Deployments reveal simultaneously. Combat resolves per matrix. Eliminations occur.
Win Conditions
Every other family eliminated.
Eliminate your Vendetta target while still having 3+ Soldiers.
Designer Notes
It's Mafia × Risk × Diplomacy in a tight package. The Vendetta mechanic ensures conflict (no all-peace stalemate) but also creates fascinating "we both want to kill the same guy" alliances. 5-player ring of Vendettas creates predictable but exploitable structure.
